Workshops

Since its inception, WATMIMS has hosted many industry workshops on current issues in logistics, supply chain management, and manufacturing. These sessions have featured presentations by speakers from manufacturing firms, transportation carriers, technology providers, third-party services, and other organizations, as well as discussions of research findings by WATMIMS members.

WATMIMS also regularly holds shorter, more focused seminars and luncheons, designed to provide practitioners with the opportunity to discuss, with WATMIMS members and other people from industry, a specific topic in logistics, supply chain management, or manufacturing.

Some areas in which WATMIMS has recently held workshops, seminars, or luncheons include:

* Supply Chain Management
* NAFTA Logistics
* Just-In-Time
* Computer Integrated Manufacturing
* Robust Planning and Scheduling
* Agile Manufacturing

In 2026, WATMIMS is planning a Workshop on the topic, "Manufacturing/Supply Chain Implications of the CUSMA Review."

The Canada/US/Mexico Agreement will be up for possible extension and revision. Just as "NAFTA," the North American Free Trade Agreement between the three countries, became "CUSMA," the latter FTA may be modified with strong supply-chain implications, when it is updated in a world involved in a tariff war.
